About us
Bertling Enviro was established in 2014 and has grown to become one of the largest exporters of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) from the UK to Scandinavia. By bringing together experts in logistics, waste management, and supply chain operations, we specialise in efficient waste-to-energy transportation. Our team delivers tailored solutions across Europe and beyond - helping partners meet their sustainability and resource goals.
Our origins
Bertling Enviro was born from a logistical challenge: how to reposition empty shipping containers across Europe more effectively. Sweden, rich in forest and timber resources, exports heavily, while the UK, with reduced manufacturing output, became a key importer. This created a significant equipment imbalance.
Working with the world’s leading shipping lines, we developed innovative solutions to move empty containers from the UK to Sweden - turning waste into value along the way. By locating RDF production facilities near UK container depots and aligning them with demand points in Sweden, we created a win-win logistics model that fuels both sustainability and efficiency.

Today, Bertling Enviro is its own business unit within the group, standing on its own feet. Focusing on:
